Rocket Restaurants are a leading Quick Service Restaurant company started in Ireland in 1989. They operate 50 restaurants across four brands with both corporate owned and franchised in Ireland, Germany, the UK and UAE and have won many awards for franchising success.
Challenge
Many businesses depend heavily on their IT systems to run efficiently and securely. Rocket Restaurants were previously reliant on an outdated private cloud solution and needed to modernise their cloud infrastructure , while improving global accessibility, Security and functionality.
Solution
Our technical consultancy team carried out an infrastructure review for Rockets, concluding that their existing private cloud servers should be moved to Azure. Moving to Azure would give them increased up-time of their business-critical applications, and better value on their spending, in addition to faster access from other locations and improved Security.
To deliver the Azure migration, our experts ran a project that consisted of:
- An Active Directory clean-up
- Implementing multi-factor authentication
- Network segregation
- Decommissioning of legacy cloud VM's
- Maintenance and patching
- Sage Accounts and Payroll Migration
- Communications and project management
This was all carried out with minimal impact to end users.

The project was a success and Rocket Restaurants are now using Azure, keeping them at the forefront of technological advancements.
As technology develops the Azure service will enable Rocket Restaurants continued access to the latest technologies and innovations. Coupled with Tridium’s alliance with Microsoft and in-house skills, Rocket Restaurants have every opportunity to Operate and expand across Ireland and new territories.
